Ms. Miriam Macnamara-Fifth/Sixth Class

Pupils from Ms. Macnamara's 6th class performed a version of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' dance for the school. They made their own zombie costumes and some of the results were very scary!! Well done for learning all the dance moves and putting on a great show!! Please click on the link below to see some images of the zombies!

Sixth Class Trócaire Donation

Well done to the pupils from Sixth Class who donated some of the money they received for their Confirmation to Trócaire. Trócaire is the official overseas development agency of the Catholic Church in Ireland. Their aim is to bring about positive and lasting change in some of the world's poorest places. Sixth class donated 185euro from money they received for their Confimation which shows how generous and kind they are. It is very important to remember that there are children in the world who are not as lucky as our children and that we should try and help in any way we can. A cheque was presented to Lydia McCarthy from the Education Unit in Trócaire who visited the school recently. Well done Sixth Class!!

Mother's Day Art

Day Retreat to Knock

The Confirmation candidates from Corofin, Kilnaboy, Boston and Tubber will travel to Knock on Monday 10th March to attend a one day retreat which will be led by a team at Knock Shrine. This retreat has been very popular with the Confirmation candidates over the last number of years and is a very good experience for our young people. A bus will leave from outside St. Patrick's Hall at 8.20am sharp on Monday 10th March. Each child is to bring a packed lunch and bring warm clothes. It is hoped to be back in Corofin no later than 7pm that evening. While pupils will be supervised, parents are welcome to travel to assist in supervision.

French Classes

Funding for the resumption of French classes for pupils in 6th class is being provided by the Parents' Association. The classes will be delivered over 10 hourly sessions by Bernadette Malone. This is a fantastic opportunity for the pupils of 6th class to get a taster of a foreign language before they enter secondary school.
