National Spring Clean

Well done to the pupils, staff and friends of Corofin N.S. who joined us recently for our annual National Spring Clean. We were also joined by members of the local Tidy Towns Committee. We collected 4 bags of general rubbish, 2 bags of plastic bottles and 1 bag of aluminium cans. In April 2010, we covered the same areas and collected 15 bags of general waste, 7 bags of plastic bottles and 1 bag of aluminium cans. This is a testament to the hard work of our Tidy Towns Committee and the people of Corofin who keep our area lovely and clean. Pictured below are some of our Sixth class pupils with the rubbish collected.

Clothing Collection

Our bi-annual clothing collection will take place on Tuesday 12th April. It’s time to Spring Clean and send in any new or used men's, women's and children's clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, linens, household textiles and stuffed toys (any condition once they are clean).

Bags can be delivered to the school on or before the morning of 12th April and left in the school shed. There is always a fantastic response to this clothing collection which is a great fundraiser for the school. We thank you for your continued support.

Thank You!

Thank you to everybody who recently contributed to our used clothing collection. The total weight of clothes collected was 815 kilograms! That's over 4/5 of a tonne weight! We appreciate your time and energy in supporting this project.

National Spring Clean 2016

As part of our Green Schools Programme, we will be partaking in the National Spring Clean organised by An Taisce. We are proud to do our part in helping to keep Corofin a nice, tidy place to live in and also to visit.

Our National Spring Clean will take place on Tuesday 19th April at 9:30am. All pupils and staff will be taking part and we would like you to come join us if you are available to help. We will be meeting outside St Patrick’s Hall and will be splitting into groups to clean areas near the school. Some members of the local Tidy Towns Committee will also be joining us.

Please come along to join us if you are available.
