Sponsored Walk

A big thank you to all who supported Scoil Mhuire in our recent sponsored walk at Mullaghmore organised by the Parents' Association. We had beautiful weather and the views were very impressive. We hope that enough funds will be raised to purchase a stage for our new hall and we will continue to fundraise until enough money is secured for this. See our Photo Gallery to view more photos!

First Holy Communion

Congratulations to Mr. Healy's second class who received their First Holy Communion in Corofin Church on Sunday 20th May. Well done to all the boys and girls for their prayers and singing and well done to the school choir and school band who enriched the ceremony with beautiful music. Thank you to Mr. Healy who prepared the boys and girls for this special Sacrament.

Pupils from 6th class will make their Confirmation in Kilnaboy Church on Friday April 27th at 11am. Pupils will be confirmed by the Most Rev. Bishop Kieran O'Reilly. The school will open and operate as normal for all other classes on that day.

Food Dudes

The school will participate in a new Healthy Eating Programme called 'Food Dudes' which is sponsored by Bord Bia. Each child who participates will be supplied with frest fruit and vegetables in school for 16 days, commencing on Monday 23rd April. Specially designed lessons will be delivered by teachers and the follow up involves encouraging pupils to bring fruit & veg for their lunch. Lots of activities and prizes will be given out throughout the programme. This provides an excellent opportunity for children to taste many different types of fruit and vegetables and ties in really well with our Healthy Eating Programme.

Banna Ceoil

Comhgháirdeachas do Mr. Healy agus Banna Ceoil na Scoile a bhuaigh an chéad duais i gComórtas 'Banna Ceoil' i bhFéile na hÍnse. Bhí siad go h-íontach agus ba choir go mbéadh a dtuismitheoirí an bhródúil ar fad.
